Gender reveal: the actual reveal

The ultrasound we had been waiting for for so long finally came on Monday. And as soon as it was over I felt bored that the next big thing to look forward to isn’t till the baby actually comes. It’s incredible how quickly you can get ungrateful…

But I think it was because I wasn’t surprised at all when they told us what gender it is. I think we’d both been expecting in the back of our heads that it was.. A GIRL!!

And I’m so so excited! I have a younger sister with the same exact age difference as our two girls will have, and I’m so happy that they will get to experience the same sister bond.

Also, Baby looked healthy and intact. She spent most of the ultrasound stretching her legs with her feet right up in front of her face (see sonogram below), having the hiccups and we also got to see a big yawn up close.

Sophia was quite entertained being in the room, but was not easily convinced that the black and white shades on the screen were actually the baby in Mama’s tummy. Just you wait, sweetheart!

So my head is in the cloud these days imagining girl dates, matching dresses and Pride and Prejudice movie nights!
18 weeks to go!!
