Hello world!

What a fun feeling to call out over the internet, not knowing how far the sound might reach…

My name is Rebecca and this blog is my little space to share thoughts, experiences and pictures of what goes on in my family’s life. I’m currently working my dream job of being a stay at home mom, and enjoy the challenge of capturing those little things I’ll be thinking back on when I’m old and gray. I love baking cakes, having kitchen dance parties in the afternoon when we’re just waiting for Papa to come home, and swallowing books during naptime.

Our story summed up: Marcus and I met in the summer of 2012 in Sweden. He was tall, a brunette and Swedish, and I was short, blonde and Danish – but we made it work! and we got married in March the following year. Since then we’ve lived in Stockholm, Hawaii for Marcus’ schooling, Salt Lake City for a summer, Denmark still as students – where we had our little daughter in September 2014 -, back to Stockholm for a bit, and now we are in Dublin, Ireland where Marcus is enjoying his first job fresh out of school, I’m working on making our new home and of course busy being the mother of a happy and energetic 1 year old.

I originally created this blog to help keep our friends and family up to date during all of our moves but in ways it has also become my way of keeping a record of the simple yet meaningful ups and downs of our life. And anyone is welcome – yes, even you who is just passing through randomly – to follow along on our beautifully ordinary journey of life!

Rebecca, my dear sweet single adult from Aalborg! Things have certainly changed up for you! We are so happy for your marriage to Marcus. However I must say I was quite surprised to see you in Hawaai! What an adventure for you two.
We are busy with our ever expanding family. We now have 15 grandchildren with one coming in Janurary. We both are working with the youth for our calling. Plus we both work with our PhysicalTherapy clinic. I am still studying Danish, with hopes that someday we may return as Temple Missionaries. Best of wishes with your latest adventure. I hope you get to do some snorkeling, the fish are beautiful. Also I think you may see some humpback whales if you are
Love and warm regards, Jerry and Kristine Jensen

Hi you guys! Thanks so much for this sweet comment! We are very happy here and feel blessed that we get to start our marriage this way.
Congratulations on the coming grandchild! Oh! You guys are such big examples to me! You are so wonderful and faithful and I only dream of being as young and healthy as you guys are when I have 15 grandchildren! Thanks so much for sacrificing so much time to come and serve in Denmark so I and my family got the privilege of meeting you! I love you!
